The Reality Of Being A Christian

  • Aug 4, 2008
  • Post a comment
The reality of Being a Christian is my simple journal; a collective of
thoughts, studies and bible centered ideals, based on the foundation of mankind.

If we Christians are to be the light and salt of the world, why then is culture divided, spoling and not sensitive to the notion of sustainability ...?

My name is Darrell Wright, and I continue to be a student of the bible:seeking wisdom, and understand of years past, finding relational themes that apply to both the discord, and luster of humanity.

My studies have lead me to not only self improve, but - today, I also teach, and Pastor others as they also search for bibilical themes that are relevant to living a guilt free life.

Yes, guilt and worry are issues of yesterday. Yesterday is over...

Each day we are given, provides us a new chance to look deeper at [our] own personal role in building a better local and global society.

How can we do that...?

Love and a zest for life are wonderful...but, how do we arrive at a
true passion for Godly love...?

What is the Reality of Being Christian today...?

I look forward to hearing from all cultures, races, and religions... I am simply about my Father's business; sharing God's bibilical word in faith, hope and love.

For Christ; in Peace,

Ignoring the Obvious

It never ceases to amaze me how mankind can miss the obvious. As I go through my daily living I consistently run into people who are struggling with problems that have visble solutions. For example I was in the gym this morning listening to a brother discuss a relational issue. It is interesting to hear a person describe a problem and not be able to see clearly the soution. The more he revealed the clearer the answer became though he could not see it. This is where the open-ended questions come to play. he needed a reality check. He was asked has he ever been in this place before. He states that he has been here before with horrible results. He explained that this lady's moral values were completely different from that which he believed. So what kind of results does he think that he is going get out of this relationship. What causes a man to stick his hand back in the lions mouth after being bitten time and time again. Let me know your thoughts I am poen to hear what you havre to say.

God Bless

Let's get Started!!!

Before we get started I need to establish some ground rules. Firts of all it is not my intention to convert you to Christianity. All I ask is that you relate to the similarities that are presented and see how they relate to your own life. I bleieve that we as Christians have been given a bad rap, just as other faiths. Through this journey I would to be able to present my experience a Christian. You will find out as we build our relationship that I truly enjoy intelligent discourse, so please honor my wishes and respect my site as I would respect yours.

Now that's done, Lets get started. Lets look at how the average person perceives Christianity. I believe that most people understand that Christianity is a way of life. The confusing factor is there are more people who claim Christianity than those who are actually living it. We will explore this aspect in future articles. But let's stay on point. This perspective is no different that any other profession. For example a police officer is viewed as a defender of the law, and our community should feel safe having them patrol our neighborhoods. However, we have seen officers who act contrary to their job description. This does not lessen the job description of what a police officer is nor does it diminish the honorable creed by which the title was instituted. This applies to faith in general. No one can possibly live up to the stringent principles outlined in any faith. I think that we can all relate to growing by spiritual guidelines. I work out my salvation on a daily basis as I hope eacn one of you do.

In the future we will examine specific topics on a realistic basis. I will share with you from my experience and try to give you the most realistic answers possible. My prayer is that you do the same. I am not sure how often I will be posting so stay close. I will porbably be writing as the spirit moves me.
